Type II steel safety cans offer two openings at the top. One is equipped with a flexible metal hose for smooth, accurate pouring into small apertures. This hose also provides a bonding path to a receiving vessel. The second opening is used for filling.

All Type II Cans have a swinging handle to ease carrying a full, heavy can. During pouring, Justrite's unique design uses the weight of the liquid to counterbalance the pressure required to open the spout. Both openings are equipped with dual-density flame arresters which reliably dissipate heat to prevent flashback ignition. Both openings self-close to prevent spillage and the rear opening automatically vents between 3 and 5 psig to guard against pressure build-up at elevated temperatures and potential explosion.

UNO's exclusive ergo-progressive design features a Safe-Squeeze® trigger mechanism that releases liquid with precise timing, controlling the liquid flow when you're ready. Handle and trigger are designed for a natural grasp. The weight of the can rests firmly in the strongest part of the hand, the palm, while a simple finger squeeze on the trigger opens the piston-actuated spout and vacuum release valve for accurate, glug-free pouring. Half-inch raised bottom offers secure grip lip during pouring. A release of the handle instantly closes the valve to guard against dangerous, surprise "spill-overs."

In addition to meeting your ease-of-use and performance needs, UNO's built-in safety features include an internal dual-density flame arrester to dissipate heat and prevent flashback ignition; leaktight, self-closing lid; automatic venting between 3 and 5 psig to guard against pressure build-up at elevated temperatures and potential explosion; and each and every can is 100% tested to guarantee leakproof construction. The flexible metal hose provides a grounding path to prevent static sparks when a grounding wire is used.

Type II Safety Cans by Eagle feature two openings, one with a pressure-relief spring closing lid for filling and one with an actuated pour valve with a flexible metal spout for safer controlled dispensing. The filler spout and flame arrestors in both openings are non-sparking brass designed for flashback protection. Cans are available with 5/8" or 7/8" flexible metal spouts. All Eagle Type II Safety Cans come in Red, Blue or Yellow.
