Description

PVA Polyvinyl Alcohol-Coated Chemical Resistant Gloves, 14" Gauntlet

PVA gloves are nearly inert to strong solvents, including aromatics, aliphatics, and chlorinated solvents, chemicals which quickly deteriorate natural rubber, neoprene, and PVC gloves. With PVA gloves, there is little absorption to cause swelling, and little extraction to cause shrinking. PVA gloves only weigh about half as much as neoprene-coated gauntlets, so they provide a high level of comfort. PVA also offers good resistance to snags, punctures, abrasion, and cuts.

How to Measure Your Glove Size

Applications

  • Electronics
  • Handling strong organic solvents
  • Working with epoxies

Caution: PVA coating is water-soluble. Do not use in water or water-based solutions.

Chemical Resistance Information This list includes only chemicals for which this glove material is well suited. Other chemicals may also be used under careful control.
Note: Chemical Resistance information is intended to provide general information about the reactions of different glove materials to the chemicals listed. This information is based upon published research data. Gloves have not been individually tested against these chemicals. Variability in glove thickness, chemical concentration, temperature and length of exposure to chemicals will affect the performance.
Disclaimer: This information should be used for reference purpose only. Always proceed with caution when handling chemicals. Data provided by the Ansell 8th Edition Chemical Resistance Chart. (This is a partial list of ideally suited chemicals. Other chemicals may be used under closely monitored conditions.)
