Titration reagents are supplied either as pure compounds, salts and buffers, or as pre-made solutions of solvents, indicators and titrants. Also included in this category are dyes and indicators, and we supply many standard and indicators for water and solids analysis by titration.
We also carry a complete of reagents and solvents for Iodometry, the titration methods used to detect a variety of analytes based on the endpoint of the disappearance or appearance of elemental iodine. In an iodometric titration, an indicator starch solution turns from dark purple to yellow, when titrated by a standard thiosulfate solution. As iodine (I2) is released, the starch solubiton absorbs the purple, until the endpoint is reached generating a yellow solution. Using this method one can measure oxidizing compounds in metals, copper oxiders, oxygen content in ecological studies and chlorine and chlorite levels in swimming pools and municipal drinking water. The basic reagents needed to perform iodometry are starch, potassium iodide, sodium thiosulfate and inorganic standards.

Sodium Thiosulfate, (0.1 N = 0.1 M) Aqueous Solution, APHA, is part of a group of analytical solution products used in the Standard Methods testing of water and wastewater. Standard Methods is a joint publication of the American Public Health Association (APHA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Water Environment Federation (WEF)
