Oseltamivir phosphate is the phosphate salt that originates from oseltamivir, known as a synthetic derivative prodrug of ethyl ester that contains antiviral activity. This chemical compound has proven to show effects on platelet counts. In fact, studies show that it suppresses human sialidases, enzymes in control of desialylation, which ultimately extends the lifespan of circulating platelets.
