About GL38 38mm Glass Bottle Closures
The 4-liter amber glass bottle with finger loop is common in labs, used by many chemical manufacturers as the containment vessel of choice for solvents. They usually feature a standardized "GL38" or 38-430 glass thread finish. Although compatible with 38-430 caps used on some plastic bottles - such as Nalgene - it’s important to note that GL38 caps are not deep enough to engage and seal on many plastic 38-430 bottles and are only for use on glass.
This waste manifold kit includes the following parts:
WF-GL38-7 | 7-port Manifold Cap for glass 38mm solvent bottles |
WF-1428-PLUG | Plugs, 1/4-28 UNF (Type A) polypropylene |
WF-18-PLUG | Plugs, 1/8" NPT, (Type C) polypropylene |
For labs which do not need to use groundable safety containers, we offer these port caps to adapt to standard drum and pail closures, as well as Nalgene® 83B, 53B, and 100-415 carboys. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GROUND PLASTIC DRUMS, PAILS, GLASS BOTTLES AND CARBOYS; THIS MAY RESULT IN A SAFETY HAZARD WITH FLAMMABLE SOLVENTS.
