We designed these convenient port cap kits with either 2, 3 or 4 ports, a built-in one-way air valve, plus all required plugs and adapters to get started.
Volatile organic solvents are essential for many lab instruments, including HPLC, LC-MS, FPLC, and SFC. However, their use poses significant health and safety risks. Our Solvent Extraction and Delivery Caps provide a dynamic, closed-system solution to safely manage these chemicals. Choose adapters based on your preferred tubing size. A set of plugs in included in our kits to maintain a closed system when holes are not in use.

Port Caps for bottles with a GL-38 glass thread type
The GL38 glass thread is commonly used for 4-liter glass solvent bottles from most chemical suppliers and is valued for its secure fit with airtight safety caps, ensuring the safe storage of volatile chemicals. While the GL38 thread technically features a 38-430 thread finish, its slightly different height makes it incompatible with the 38-430 threads on plastic bottles. Specifically designed for glass containers, GL38 threads are a trusted choice for solvents, reagents, and other chemicals in both laboratory and industrial applications.

Built-in air valve for safety and efficiency
This Port Cap includes built-in one-way PEEK & SS316 check valve to reduce solvent evaporation. Choose from three elastomer seal options depending on your solvent. Clean air enters through one-way check valve to prevent implosion during the solvent delivery process, but solvent cannot evaporate out of the closed solvent feed system.

Note on grounding containers: For labs which do not need to use groundable safety containers, we offer these port caps to adapt to standard drum and pail closures, as well as Nalgene® 83B, 53B, and 100-415 carboys. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GROUND DRUM, PAIL, GLASS BOTTLE AND CARBOY (NON-JUSTRITE®) CONTAINERS; THIS MAY RESULT IN A SAFETY HAZARD WITH FLAMMABLE SOLVENTS.
