Description
38-430 Port Cap Kit, reinforced Stainless Steel 1/4-28 UNF threads, PTFE inner, white spin collar, designed for use with plastic bottles that have a Nalgene® 38-430 closure. 304 Stainless steel (SS) threaded insert minimizes cross-threading on soft PTFE ports and is ideal when tubing adapters are regularly removed and re-attached.
Create a closed system using port caps to prevent hazardous vapor evaporation in the lab. These port caps accept standard 1/4"-28 UNF fittings to easily connect semi-rigid tubing. Choose tubing adapters based on your tubing size. A set of plugs in included to maintain a closed system when holes are not in use. Note: we suggest you order an optional vent filter to allow for pressure changes and safe off-gassing (not included) when a port cap does not have a built-in vent.
- Kit includes plugs for each hole
 - Autoclavable
 - Threaded holes are angled at 10° for easy access
 - Use with 1/4-28 UNF adapters based on your tubing size
 - Use with semi-rigid tubing equal to or less than 1/8" (3.2 mm) OD (not included) to create a solvent delivery system (tubing goes all the way in the bottle)
 - Tubing larger than 1/8" can be used with barb fittings as part of a solvent waste reservoir (tubing ends at the cap)
 - Prevents evaporation of volatile compounds
 - Polypropylene outer collar (non-wetted) with a PTFE inner
 - Anti-twist free-spin collar rotates independently to prevent tangling lines

Please note: it is not possible to ground glass and plastic (non-Justrite®) containers; this may result in a safety hazard with flammable solvents.
