Dichloromethane, (stabilized with 2-Methyl-2-butene) [for HPLC Solvent] is a liquid, organic compound that is volatile and has a light sweet aroma. Although non-miscible with water, it is with most other organic solvents. This makes it ideal in most chemical processes where a solvent is necessary.
