Description
Hexamethylenetetramine is a white crystalline heterocyclic organic compound that is highly soluble in water and polar organic solvents. In organic synthesis, it is used as a synthetic building block for pharmaceutical products as well as plastics and rubber additives; combined with silver, it is used as a silver stain in histology and as a preservative food additive.
