Cefadroxil is a semisynthetic first-generation cephalosporin that contains antibacterial activity. It is critical within penicillin, as it bind to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. This antibacterial drug is a conjugate acid of a cefadroxil(1-).
