Description

Non-sterile Minisart® Acticosart syringe carbon filters are packaged in convenience pack but can be sterilized using Ethylene oxide by the end user if necessary. Reduce waste and make handling easier whenever the application allows venting under non-sterile conditions. Due to its hydrophobic nature the PTFE membrane functions as a water barrier and does not become wetted by aerosols. This keeps the hydrophobic venting filter permeable for gas or air! The active carbon filling adsorbs molecules, e.g. unpleasant smell resulting from polymerisation reactions. The housing of the filter is made of MBS (Methacrylate butadiene styrene) which has a limited compatibility with alcohols but is free of phthalates and passes the plastic class VI test. It is glueable, e.g. to tubing, what enables assembly and sterilization by the user.

Minisart® Acticosart with chemically inert hydrophobic PTFE is suitable for venting as well as filtration of gases with a pH of 3 - 12. Type 17840 has a 0.45µm PTFE and a reservoir with active carbon. It can be used for venting and adsorption of substances. It has a male luer slip inlet and outlet.
