Hydrofluoric Acid, 48 Percent, Suitable for Electronic Use, Reagent, ACS is a highly corrosive solution of hydrogen fluoride in water is capable of dissolving a wide range of materials including oxides and glass. Used in a variety of fields including oil refining and production of fluorides it can also be used to dissolve rock samples before analysis. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured hydrofluoric acid is used as the quality standard against which other substances are graded and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
