Phloroglucinol, Dihydrate is an organic compound phenol derivative with antispasmodic properties. It is used as a coupling agent, linking diazo dyes to give a fast black. In cosmetic and personal care product formulations, it is used for its colorant and antioxidant properties. It appears as a light yellow powder.
