The University of Arizona received an award for outstanding efforts in food recovery from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Through the collaborative effort of students, food service staff and university leaders, with the Tohono O’odham Nation’s San Xavier Co-Operative farm and the city of Tuscan,food recovery increased by 1,232% between 2013 – 2014.
