HPLC/Spectro grade Methyl Alcohol in 4 liter glass bottles (16 liters total). Methyl alcohol is a colorless liquid used in the manufacture of formaldehyde in chemical synthesis antifreeze and as a solvent. Ingestion of methanol is toxic and may cause blindness. Methanol is the simplest alcohol, consisting of a methyl group linked to a hydroxyl group. It is a light, volatile,, flammable liquid with a distinctive odor similar to that of ethanol (drinking alcohol). At room temperature, it is a polar liquid. "HPLC/Spectroscopic grade" is a purified grade of solvent filtered to 0.2 micron and UV transparent for most LC and spectroscopy usage. See specifications for transparency range.
