Artesunate is a water-soluble, semi-synthetic derivative of the lactone artemisinin which contains anti-malarial, antiviral, and potential anti-neoplastic activities. It is generally used as the sodium salt for the treatment of malaria. It also serves as a ferroptosis inducer, antineoplastic agent, and an antimalarial. 

Artesunate, part of the artemisinin group of drugs, is a semi-synthetic derivative of artemisinin which has been used to treat malaria. Ungraded products supplied by TCI America are generally suitable for common industrial uses or for research purposes but typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
